The Brewers have more local artists on deck for the second inning of its Wisconsin Artist Series, which debuted last year and proved popular.
The artists are creating exclusive designs for Brewers-branded apparel for fan giveaways that will go to the first 10,000 ticketed fans at home games on April 14 (414 Day), June 2 and Aug. 18.
The series kicks off on 414 Day, Tuesday, April 14 as the Brewers take on the Toronto Blue Jays. Fans will receive a Brewers 414 Artist Day tee designed by ACM Designs and Ali Acevedo of All Goods MKE of Milwaukee.
ACM is a pen name for Adam Melste, a Milwaukee-based Illustrator, author, muralist and educator that has done a number of collaborative works with the Milwaukee Makers Market, Black Cat Alley and Summerfest and All Goods MKE, a Milwaukee vintage and streetwear destination was founded by Ali Acevedo.
Then, on Tuesday, June 2 as the Crew faces the San Francisco Giants, the first 10,000 fans will get a hat designed by Madison’s Ka Lee – a Hmong American designer and illustrator that specializes in branding – that features a modernized Barrelman. This one sounds especially intriguing.
Finally, on Tuesday, Aug. 18 when the Seattle Mariners are in town, another hat, this one designed by artist and illustrator Ric Stultz of Racine, and pays tribute to Robin Yount, will be the giveaway.
Stultz, who teaches at MIAD, has done commissioned work for many companies, including Nike, MTV and YouTube, and has exhibited paintings both domestically and abroad.
