Dining Month is brought to you through a partnership with Educators Credit Union, Potawatomi Hotel Casino and Saint Kate Arts Hotel.
This November, The Conroy, 725 N. Milwaukee St., is inviting diners to experience the classic Wisconsin supper club like never before. The Downtown hotspot is launching The Modern Supper Club, a limited fall/winter dining series that pays homage to supper club traditions while giving them a contemporary upgrade.
Under the direction of Chef Hector Martinez, formerly of The Capital Grille, the menu balances approachable luxury with precise execution. Guests can start with indulgent small plates such as Wagyu Carpaccio, Dry-Aged Meatballs, Burrata with Charred Tomatoes, or Saffron Mussels, before moving on to entrees like Filet Mignon with red-wine demi-glace, Sliced Ribeye Au Poivre with truffle fries, Crispy Salmon with butternut-squash purée and pistachios, or the signature Wagyu Burger. For seafood lovers, the Roasted Seafood Platters—featuring lobster tails, shrimp, scallops, and mussels in chili-garlic butter—bring a celebratory edge to the table.
For those who enjoy a bubbly start to the evening, The Conroy is expanding its signature Bubbles & Bumps happy hour, Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Now featuring dry-aged meatballs, Wagyu burgers, Parmesan truffle fries, and house-made chips with caramelized onion dip, it pairs perfectly with champagne, $8 select wines, and half-priced classic and signature cocktails.
Thursdays continue the Vintage & Vogue tradition with by-the-glass pours of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon and Rombauer Chardonnay for $20, alongside select bottles at half price. Adding to the supper club atmosphere, live jazz and vocal performances will accompany the menu launch, offering a modern interpretation of the entertainment long associated with the iconic dining experience.
“We’re not recreating the supper clubs of the past,” the ownership team explains. “We’re honoring what made them special—the comfort, community, and celebration they represented—and bringing that experience forward through a modern lens.”
The Modern Supper Club at The Conroy is available for a limited time this fall and winter. Reservations are encouraged through OpenTable, though walk-ins are welcome.
