Last fall, OnMilwaukee announced that The Laughing Tap had found a new home in Downtown Milwaukee, inside the former George Watts Tea Shop, 761 N. Jefferson Ave. Prior to this move, the comedy venue was located in Walker's Point for five years.
The Laughing Tap will celebrate its grand-reopening on Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28.
Nate Craig, who has toured with Bill Burr and has numerous comedy specials and TV/film appearances, will headline first. Craig is a regular at the LA Comedy Store and the NY Comedy Cellar. Most recently, he appeared in the Netflix movie "Old Dads." He also played Jonah Hill's brother "Phil" in the Netflix series "Maniac," and was a cast member on TruTV's "World's Dumbest."
Internationally touring stand-up comedian Jessica Michelle Singleton is scheduled for the first weekend in May.
The Laughing Tap will host regional and local comics every week, along with open mics and more. It features a full bar and a no-drink minimum. All shows are 18+.
